Primary Antibodies

Polyclonal, monoclonal and recombinant formats for direct antigen detection

Our primary antibody range spans polyclonal, monoclonal and recombinant formats validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry and ELISA, with reactivity across human, mouse, rat and further species.

How it works

Three formats across our range

Our primary antibody range spans polyclonal, monoclonal and recombinant formats. Polyclonal products in our catalogue are raised in immunised host animals and recognise multiple epitopes on the target protein. Monoclonal products come from a single antibody-producing clone and recognise one epitope. Recombinant products are produced from a defined antibody sequence in an expression system rather than a hybridoma, and this is the basis for the batch-to-batch consistency seen across our recombinant lines.

Why use our primary antibody range?

A format for the target and the assay
Our range spans polyclonal, monoclonal and recombinant formats, so you can choose signal amplification for a low-abundance target or single-epitope specificity for a cleaner readout.
Validated across core techniques
Products across our range are validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Broad species reactivity
Our catalogue covers reactivity across human, mouse, rat and further species, so you can build a panel around your model system.
Specialised formats within the range
Beyond the standard formats, our range includes engineered options such as ImmunoSwitch bridging antibodies and chimeric antibodies for cross-species panel design.

Typical applications

Western blot
Products from across our range are used for western blot, from polyclonal antibodies suited to low-abundance targets to monoclonal and recombinant antibodies for cleaner, single-epitope bands.
Immunohistochemistry
Our IHC-validated antibodies are used for tissue staining across our target range, supporting both standard IHC workflows and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sample types.
ELISA
Antibodies from our range are used as capture and detection reagents in ELISA assay development.
Flow cytometry and immunofluorescence
Our range includes conjugated and unconjugated antibodies suited to flow cytometry and immunofluorescence, including a dedicated panel of CD marker antibodies.
