Cell Surface Proteins

Recombinant CD markers, receptors and ligands

Our cell surface protein range covers 100+ recombinant antigens spanning immune receptors, adhesion molecules and CD markers, supplied unconjugated as extracellular domain (ECD) constructs, with untagged or Fc-tagged format available for selected targets.

How it works

Recombinant Expression of Extracellular Domains

Our cell surface protein range consists of recombinant human receptors, ligands and CD markers, produced predominantly as the extracellular domain (ECD) of the native protein. The range is expressed mainly in HEK293 cells, with additional targets produced in CHO cells, insect (B.mori) cells or P.pastoris depending on the target. Products are supplied unconjugated, with a choice of untagged or Fc-tagged format available for selected targets, such as CD31 (PECAM1) and CD155.

Why use our cell surface proteins?

One supplier for a wide target list
With 100+ recombinant targets in the range, spanning CD markers such as CD20, CD38 and CD80 and receptors including CXCR4, CTLA4 and c-MET (HGFR), sourcing multiple related targets from a single supplier is straightforward.
A choice of expression host
Most of the range is produced in HEK293 cells, with a portion produced in CHO cells, insect cells or P.pastoris depending on the target.
Untagged and Fc-tagged format options
Selected targets, including CD31 (PECAM1) and CD155, are available with an Fc-tag alongside the untagged format, giving a choice suited to different assay setups.
Documentation and purity data supplied
Each product page provides a downloadable datasheet and safety data sheet, with purity reported on the datasheet using methods such as SDS-PAGE.
Where they're used

Typical applications

Receptor-ligand binding studies
The ECD format used across most of the range, in some cases paired with an Fc-tag, suits binding and kinetics work such as ELISA or surface plasmon resonance.
Cell-based functional assays
Fc-fusion proteins in the range have been used to coat assay surfaces for functional cell binding work, as with CD137-Fc coated plates used to assess microglial cell attachment.
Structural and biochemical characterisation
Purity data reported on product datasheets, including SDS-PAGE analysis, supports use of the proteins in biochemical and structural work.
Assay screening through to scale-up
Pack sizes across the range run from 5 µg up to 100 g, allowing selection of quantity for pilot screening through to larger-scale assay work.
