Haemostasis

Haemostasis is the process of stopping bleeding from a damaged blood vessel. Also, it is the first stage of wound healing and blood clotting. This process involves coagulation and the basic mechanisms are contraction of the vessel wall, platelet plug formation and plasmatic coagulation.
