Primary Antibodies

Primary antibodies bind directly to their antigen, which places them at the start of almost every immunodetection method. The range spans polyclonal, monoclonal and recombinant formats raised against defined immunogens, validated in applications including western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry and ELISA. Format determines behaviour: polyclonals recognise several epitopes and amplify signal from low-abundance targets, monoclonals bind a single epitope for high specificity and low background, and recombinants add fixed-sequence reproducibility. Reactivity spans human, mouse, rat and further species.
