General Information

Short DescriptionRecombinant-Human CD10 (Neprilysin)-protein was developed from hek293. For use in research applications.
HostHEK293
NoteSTRICTLY FOR FURTHER RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT TO BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS.

Product Properties

ConjugationUnconjugated
Dilution RangeTo prepare stock, reconstitute by gently mixing in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.DO NOT VORTEX
Formulation0.2 Mu m filtered solution in 20mM Tris, 100mM NaCL, pH8.0 with 5% Trehalose.
Storage InstructionCan be stored in working aliquots at 2°C-8°C C for one month, or at-20°C C for six months, with 0.1% HSA as carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. NA
EndotoxinEndotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg (1EU/µg). NA
ImmunoreactivityMeasured by its ability to cleave flourogenic peptide substrate Mca-RPPGFSAFK (Dnp)-OH. The specific activity was measured to be >1nMole/min/ug NA

Additional Info

Post Translational Modifications Myristoylation is a determinant of membrane targeting. Glycosylation at Asn-628 is necessary both for surface expression and neutral endopeptidase activity.
Function Thermolysin-like specificity, but is almost confined on acting on polypeptides of up to 30 amino acids. Biologically important in the destruction of opioid peptides such as Met- and Leu-enkephalins by cleavage of a Gly-Phe bond. Catalyzes cleavage of bradykinin, substance P and neurotensin peptides. Able to cleave angiotensin-1, angiotensin-2 and angiotensin 1-9. Involved in the degradation of atrial natriuretic factor (ANF) and brain natriuretic factor (BNP(1-32)). Displays UV-inducible elastase activity toward skin preelastic and elastic fibers.
