Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA) Kits
Sandwich-format CLIA kits validated across human, mouse and rat targets.Our CLIA kits use the same sandwich capture format as our ELISA range, but the target is detected with light instead of colour. Once the reaction runs, a luminometer reads the light output as relative light units (RLU), and analyte concentration is worked out from that reading instead of an optical density measurement.
Why use CLIA over colorimetric ELISA?

Greater sensitivity Chemiluminescent detection can resolve analyte concentrations down to roughly 10⁻¹⁶ mol/L, into the sub-femtomolar range, lower than colorimetric ELISA typically distinguishes from background. |

Wider dynamic range The relationship between analyte concentration and light output holds across a broader span of concentrations than immunoenzymatic (ELISA) formats, useful when a sample's analyte level is not known in advance. |
