Muscle Contraction
This process is the activation of the tension-generating sites inside muscle fibres. There are four main types of contraction: Isometric, in which the muscle length doesn't change, isotonic, there it changes. Furthermore, eccentric contraction is an isotonic one where the muscle gets longer and concentric is the exact opposite.
