Extracellular Matrix Organisation

The ECM is a non-cellular component, that can be found in all tissues and organs, providing not only physical scaffolding, but also starts important biochemical and biomechanical cues. In mammalian tissues, it exists as a network mostly consisting of collagen, elastin and microfibrils.
