Bright, multi-colour fluorescent secondaries for western blot, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and ELISA
DyLight dyes are amine-reactive fluorophores conjugated directly onto the secondary antibody, so each dye molecule is excited at a set wavelength and emits at a longer one, giving a strong signal that a fluorescence microscope, flow cytometer or infrared imager can read out. Our DyLight range spans the visible spectrum from 350 nm through to the 800 nm near-infrared channel, across goat, chicken and rabbit host secondaries reactive against mouse, rabbit, rat, goat and chicken IgG or IgY, so a panel built entirely from DyLight conjugates can assign a separate host reactivity and colour channel to each primary antibody in the same experiment.

DyLight 405 sits at the blue end of the range, matched to a violet 405 nm laser line, while DyLight 633 sits at the far-red end, matched to a 633 nm laser line. Run together with a green- or yellow-channel conjugate in between, they anchor a multi-colour panel where each channel is read without bleeding into the next.
Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (Full length) Antibody {DyLight®405}
DyLight 405 is excited by a violet 405 nm laser line and read in the blue channel, a wavelength range typically reserved for nuclear counterstains or low-abundance mouse-raised primaries. This goat polyclonal detects full-length mouse IgG and is validated by immunofluorescence in mouse and human samples.

Chicken Anti-Chicken IgY (Full length) Antibody {DyLight®633}
DyLight 633 is matched to a 633 nm laser line and reads separately from DAPI, DyLight 488 and DyLight 550 channels in the same panel. This chicken polyclonal detects full-length chicken IgY and is validated by immunofluorescence, giving a far-red option when the primary antibody itself is IgY-based rather than mammalian IgG.

Goat anti-mouse is the most requested reactivity in the DyLight range, pairing with mouse monoclonal primaries across western blot, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and ELISA. The full-length format conjugates below (DyLight 405, 488, 550 and 633) are validated by immunofluorescence in mouse and human samples. The same reactivity is also supplied as a shorter IgG-only conjugate across DyLight 350, 405, 488, 549, 594, 649, 680 and 800, for applications that call for a narrower wavelength window or near-infrared detection.
Anti-Rat IgG DyLight Secondary Antibodies
Rat-raised primaries are common in neuroscience and rodent disease models, where a rat monoclonal can offer cleaner specificity than a mouse or rabbit equivalent raised against the same target. Our goat anti-rat DyLight conjugates are validated by immunofluorescence in mouse and rat samples and are supplied in the 488 and 550 full-length format below, with the 594 and 649 wavelengths available as the shorter IgG-only conjugate.
Chicken-Host DyLight Secondary Antibodies
Chicken-raised secondaries avoid the Fc receptor and complement binding that mammalian-host secondaries can pick up in mammalian tissue, because IgY lacks the effector-binding domains found in IgG. Our chicken-host DyLight conjugates cover two reactivities: chicken anti-chicken IgY, for panels built around a chicken-raised primary, and chicken anti-goat IgG, for panels built around a goat primary. Both reactivities are validated by immunofluorescence, and the anti-goat IgG conjugate is additionally validated by western blot at DyLight 633.

Anti-Rabbit and Anti-Goat DyLight Secondary Antibodies
When a panel already carries a goat anti-mouse or goat anti-rat conjugate in another channel, a goat anti-rabbit or rabbit anti-goat secondary keeps each channel assigned to a single host and reactivity. Our goat anti-rabbit IgG conjugates span the full DyLight wavelength set from 350 to 800, and our rabbit anti-goat IgG conjugates span 488 to 649, both supplied as the shorter IgG-only conjugate.

Near-Infrared Detection with DyLight 680 and 800
DyLight 680 and 800 conjugates are read on laser- and filter-based infrared imaging systems operating in the 700 nm and 800 nm channels rather than a standard fluorescence microscope, giving a western blot detection option away from the autofluorescence seen at visible wavelengths. Goat anti-mouse and goat anti-rabbit DyLight 800 conjugates were used for infrared western blot detection of exosome markers in a Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy study on cardiomyocyte-derived exosomes and ferroptosis sensitivity in ischemic heart failure2.

Matching a conjugate to your imaging instrument
Match each DyLight conjugate to the laser line available on your instrument: a blue laser diode for DyLight 405, a cyan 488 nm laser for DyLight 488, a green 526 nm laser for DyLight 550 and 594, and a red 633 nm laser for DyLight 649. DyLight 680 and 800 conjugates need a laser- and filter-based infrared imaging instrument operating in the 700 nm and 800 nm channels rather than a standard fluorescence microscope.
