Short Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-CACNA2D4 (Internal Region) is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: CACNA2D4
Gene ID: 93589
Uniprot ID: CA2D4_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: Internal Region
Specificity: Specific for CACNA2D4.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human CACNA2D4 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen shares 95% identity with mouse sequence.
Post Translational Modifications May be proteolytically processed into subunits alpha-2-4 and delta-4 that are disulfide-linked. It is however unclear whether such cleavage really takes place in vivo and has a functional role.
Function The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel.
