Storage Instruction:	Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for one week. Store at-20 to-80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Endotoxin:	<0.1 EU/Mu g of the protein by the LAL method.
Immunoreactivity:	Measured by its ability to cleave the fluorogenic peptide substrate, Mca-RPKPVE-Nval-WRK (Dnp)-NH2. The specific activity is >15 pmol/min/µg, as measured under the described conditions.

Post Translational Modifications	The active form of HGFAC presents in the serum is derived from the COOH-terminal region of the precursor by the cleavage of bonds between Arg-372 and Val-373 and Arg-407 and Ile-408.
Function	Serine protease that hydrolyzes the inactive zymogen hepatocyte growth factor (HGFsc) to an activated disulfide-linked heterodimer, then initiating hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling pathway.
