Short Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-RGS19 is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. Use at a dilution of 1:1000 to 1: 3000. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: RGS19
Gene ID: 10287
Uniprot ID: RGS19_HUMAN
Specificity: Specific for RGS19.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from human RGS19 conjugated to blue carrier protein has been used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.
Post Translational Modifications Fatty acylated. Heavily palmitoylated in the cysteine string motif. Phosphorylated, mainly on serine residues.
Function Inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. Binds to G-alpha subfamily 1 members, with the order G(i)a3 > G(i)a1 > G(o)a >> G(z)a/G(i)a2. Activity on G(z)-alpha is inhibited by phosphorylation and palmitoylation of the G-protein.
