Specificity:	Specific for locally produced levels of the ~ 20 kDa uncleaved pre-pro-vasopressin protein. Immunolabeling of the uncleaved pre-pro-vasopressin protein band is completely blocked by preadsorption of the antibody with the peptide used as antigen.
Immunogen:	Synthetic peptide corresponding to key amino acid residues surrounding the cleavage sites for the human vasopressin precursor peptide, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH).

Function	Neurophysin 2: Specifically binds vasopressin. Arg-vasopressin: Has a direct antidiuretic action on the kidney, it also causes vasoconstriction of the peripheral vessels. Acts by binding to vasopressin receptors (V1bR/AVPR1B, V1aR/AVPR1A, and V2R/AVPR2).
