Immunogen Region: Lys26-Arg208
Immunogen: Recombinant Rat Oncostatin-M/OSM Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Lys26-Arg208) ofRat Oncostatin-M/OSM (Accession #NP_001006962.1) fused with a His tag at the C-terminus.
Post Translational Modifications Propeptide processing is not important for receptor binding activity but may be important growth-inhibitory activity.
Function Growth regulator. Inhibits the proliferation of a number of tumor cell lines. It regulates cytokine production, including IL-6, G-CSF and GM-CSF from endothelial cells. Uses only type II OSM receptor (heterodimers composed of OSMR and IL6ST). Involved in the maturation of fetal hepatocytes, thereby promoting liver development and regeneration.
