Fully human sequence antibodies for research and assay development

Our human host monoclonal antibodies are generated from human antibody sequences, using phage display selection from human immunoglobulin libraries, transgenic mice carrying human immunoglobulin loci, or isolation directly from human donor B cells. The range covers ELISA, flow cytometry, western blot, immunoprecipitation and SPR applications for research and assay development.

How it works

Human antibody sequence, three routes to production

Phage display
Antigen-specific binders are selected from libraries built from human blood lymphocyte immunoglobulin genes, without animal immunisation.

Transgenic mice
Mice engineered with human immunoglobulin heavy and light chain loci are immunised and fused to myeloma cells by standard hybridoma technology, producing antibodies entirely human in sequence.

Human donor B cells
Memory B cells sorted from human donors are immortalised or fused, preserving the donor's own natural heavy and light chain pairing.

Why use human host monoclonal antibodies?

Human sequence by design
Generated by phage display from human antibody libraries or from transgenic mice carrying human immunoglobulin loci, our human host monoclonal antibodies carry a human sequence without a separate humanisation step.
Derived from natural immune responses
Where an antibody is isolated directly from the memory B cells of a human donor, it preserves the natural heavy and light chain pairing and affinity maturation that occurred during that donor's own immune response.
Reduced anti-species interference in human sample assays
Antibodies raised in mouse, rabbit or other non-human hosts can trigger interference from anti-species antibodies present in some human serum and plasma samples, such as human anti-mouse antibodies (HAMA), which are documented to cause both false positive and false negative results in immunoassays built on murine monoclonal antibodies. A human host antibody avoids this specific interference route.
