Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Porcine GM-CSF (GM-CSF) Antibody Pair (STJAP00592)
This antibody pair is designed to detect porcine GM-CSF (Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor), corresponding to UniProt entry Q29118. It has confirmed reactivity with porcine samples and is intended for use with serum, plasma, and other biological fluids.
The capture antibody is supplied unconjugated and the detection antibody is biotinylated, both at a concentration of 0.5 mg/mL. Both antibodies are polyclonal, raised in goat, and purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
This pair has been validated for use in ELISA. It is intended for sandwich ELISA configurations using the unconjugated antibody as the capture component and the biotinylated antibody as the detection component.
Both the capture and detection antibodies were raised against recombinant porcine GM-CSF protein. Both antibodies were subsequently purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
The capture antibody is formulated in PBS with 0.04% Proclin 300 and 50% glycerol at pH 7.5, while the detection antibody is formulated in PBS with 0.04% Proclin 300, 1% protective protein, and 50% glycerol at pH 7.5. Both components should be stored at -20°C for long-term storage, and freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.
