Additional Info
| Function | Galactose-specific lectin which binds IgE. May mediate with the alpha-3, beta-1 integrin the stimulation by CSPG4 of endothelial cells migration. Together with DMBT1, required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis. In the nucleus: acts as a pre-mRNA splicing factor. Involved in acute inflammatory responses including neutrophil activation and adhesion, chemoattraction of monocytes macrophages, opsonization of apoptotic neutrophils, and activation of mast cells. Together with TRIM16, coordinates the recognition of membrane damage with mobilization of the core autophagy regulators ATG16L1 and BECN1 in response to damaged endomembranes. When secreted, interacts with NK cell-activating receptor NCR3/NKp30 acting as an inhibitory ligand which antagonizes NK cell attack. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Mouse GAL3 (GAL3) Antibody Pair (STJAP00946)
This antibody pair is designed to detect mouse Galectin-3 (GAL3), corresponding to UniProt entry P16110. Reactivity has been confirmed for mouse samples only.
This pair is validated for sandwich ELISA using a colorimetric detection method. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, and other biological fluids.
Both antibodies are raised in goat. The capture antibody is supplied unconjugated at 0.5 mg/mL, while the detection antibody is biotin-conjugated at a concentration of 0.5 to 4 ug/mL.
A working dilution range of 1:1000 to 1:10000 is indicated for this antibody pair in sandwich ELISA applications.
Both components should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius for long-term storage. Freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to maintain antibody integrity.
Orders typically arrive within 1 to 2 weeks, and often sooner depending on your location. If your timeline is critical, please contact us before ordering and we can advise on current lead times.
This product is shipped on gel ice packs to maintain integrity during transit. Priority shipping is used as standard to minimise time in transit.
