Dilution Range	Reconstitute in sterile water for a stock solution.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 5% Trehalose, 5% Mannitol.
Storage Instruction	Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for one week. Store at-20 to-80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Endotoxin	<0.1 EU/Mu g of the protein by the LAL method.
Immunoreactivity	Measured by its ability to cleave the fluorogenic peptide substrate, McaPLGL-Dpa-ARNH2. The specific activity is >800 pmol/min/Mu g.

Function	May be involved in tissue injury and remodeling. Has significant elastolytic activity. Can accept large and small amino acids at the P1' site, but has a preference for leucine. Aromatic or hydrophobic residues are preferred at the P1 site, with small hydrophobic residues (preferably alanine) occupying P3.
