Short Description : Recombinant-Human KCNE4-N-His-SUMO protein was developed from e. coli and has a target region of N-His-SUMO. For use in research applications.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol.
Storage Instruction: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at-20 to-80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Gene Symbol: KCNE4
Gene ID: 23704
Uniprot ID: KCNE4_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: His2-Glu86
Immunogen: Homo sapiens (Human)
Function Ancillary protein that functions as a regulatory subunit of the voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channel complex composed of pore-forming and potassium-conducting alpha subunits and of regulatory beta subunits. KCNE4 beta subunit modulates the gating kinetics and enhances stability of the channel complex. Associates with KCNQ1/KVLTQ1 alpha subunit to inhibit potassium currents. Isoform 2: May inhibit KCNQ4-mediated potassium currents.
