Short Description: Recombinant-Human IL-15RA/CD215-C-hFc&His protein was developed from hek293 cells and has a target region of C-hFc&His. For use in research applications.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.22 Mu m filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4. Contact us for customized product form or formulation.
Immunoreactivity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant Human IL15 at 2 Mu g/mL (100 Mu L/well) can bind recombinant Human IL-15R alpha, the EC50 of Human IL-15R alpha is 178.9 ng/mL.
Gene Symbol: IL15RA
Gene ID: 3601
Uniprot ID: I15RA_HUMAN
Immunogen: Recombinant Human IL-15RA/CD215 Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Met1-Thr205) of human IL-15R alpha/CD215 (Accession #NP_002180.1) fused with a Fc, 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Post Translational Modifications N-glycosylated and O-glycosylated. A soluble form (sIL-15RA) arises from proteolytic shedding of the membrane-anchored receptor. It also binds IL-15 and thus interferes with IL-15 binding to the membrane receptor.
Function High-affinity receptor for interleukin-15. Can signal both in cis and trans where IL15R from one subset of cells presents IL15 to neighboring IL2RG-expressing cells. In neutrophils, binds and activates kinase SYK in response to IL15 stimulation. In neutrophils, required for IL15-induced phagocytosis in a SYK-dependent manner. Expression of different isoforms may alter or interfere with signal transduction. Isoform 5: Does not bind IL15. Isoform 6: Does not bind IL15. Isoform 7: Does not bind IL15. Isoform 8: Does not bind IL15.
