Additional Info
| Tissue Specificity | Expressed in a defined zone of basal keratinocytes in the deep outer root sheath of hair follicles. Also observed in sweat gland and mammary gland ductal and secretory cells, bile ducts, gastrointestinal tract, bladder urothelium, oral epithelia, esophagus, ectocervical epithelium (at protein level). Expressed in epidermal basal cells, in nipple epidermis and a defined region of the hair follicle. Also seen in a subset of vascular wall cells in both the veins and artery of human umbilical cord, and in umbilical cord vascular smooth muscle. Observed in muscle fibers accumulating in the costameres of myoplasm at the sarcolemma in structures that contain dystrophin and spectrin. |
| Function | Involved in the organization of myofibers. Together with KRT8, helps to link the contractile apparatus to dystrophin at the costameres of striated muscle. |

Common questions about Human Cytokeratin 19 (Cytokeratin 19) Antibody Pair (STJAP00704)
This antibody pair detects human Cytokeratin 19 (UniProt P08727). Reactivity has been established for human samples only.
Both antibodies are rabbit monoclonal IgGs, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/mL in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.2. They are affinity purified and provided as separate components, with clone IDs R07-5N1 and R06-2Q4.
This pair is validated for use in ELISA. No other assay formats are specified for this product.
Working concentrations are determined by the end user and are not defined in the product specifications. Titration is recommended to establish optimal conditions for each specific experimental setup.
Both antibodies were raised against a recombinant protein of human Cytokeratin 19. No specific immunogen region is defined in the product specifications.
Both components should be stored at 4°C for short-term use. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided to maintain antibody integrity.
