| Function | Catalyzes the oxidative deamination of primary amines to the corresponding aldehydes with the concomitant production of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. Has a preference for the primary monoamines methylamine and benzylamine. Could also act on 2-phenylethylamine but much less efficiently.
