Trial size ACSS1 antibodies available in the Antibody Validation Project
Introduction:
ACSS1, short for Acyl-CoA Synthetase Short Chain Family Member 1, is really important for maintaining appropriate body temperature and energy levels during fasting or low-carbohydrate conditions. Many of the ACSS1-related drugs are currently approved and research for battling the conditions related to this gene is conducted. We provide a number of trial sized antibodies, which are suitable for ACSS1 research purposes, and to help you make the right decision and find the best suited antibody for you, please find the answers to some of the key topics regarding ACSS1 that we have provided in the links below.

What is ACSS1?
ACSS1 is really important for keeping normal body temperature during periods of fasting, energy expenditure under ketogenic conditions and also takes part in energy homeostasis. It coverts acetate into acetyl-CoA in order to be used for oxidation and to produce the much needed for the body ATP and CO2.
Where is ACSS1 found?
ACSS1 is across almost all human tissues, but it is most abundant in the kidneys, testis and placenta.
What role does ACSS1 play in disease?
ACSS1 is related to cardiomyophathy, Canavan disease and infantile histiocytoid.
