Short Description: Sheep polyclonal antibody anti-TRPV5 (610-660 aa) is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: Affinity purification
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. A dilution of 1:1000 to 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: Trpv5
Gene ID: 194352
Uniprot ID: TRPV5_MOUSE
Immunogen Region: 610-660 aa
Specificity: Specific for TRPV5.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from aa region 610-660 of mouse TRPV5 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat.
Post Translational Modifications Glycosylated.
Function Constitutively active calcium selective cation channel thought to be involved in Ca(2+) reabsorption in kidney and intestine. Required for normal Ca(2+) reabsorption in the kidney distal convoluted tubules. The channel is activated by low internal calcium level and the current exhibits an inward rectification. A Ca(2+)-dependent feedback regulation includes fast channel inactivation and slow current decay. Heteromeric assembly with TRPV6 seems to modify channel properties. TRPV5-TRPV6 heteromultimeric concatemers exhibit voltage-dependent gating.
