Additional Info
| Background | Cytokeratins 8 &18 (CK 8 & 18) are expressed in most simple epithelia (e.g. thyroid, breast, gastrointestinal tract, and respiratory tract). Anti-CK 8 & 18 have been reported to stain most adenocarcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas, but not some well-differentiated squamous cell carcinomas. Cytokeratin 8 & 18 have been reported to be useful markers for identifying Paget cells, colorectal carcinoma metastases, 5 and gastric cancer micro metastases. |
