Short Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-CLCN3 (Cytoplasmic Domain) is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB (confirmed by recombinant protein). A dilution of 1:300 to 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: CLCN3
Gene ID: 1182
Uniprot ID: CLCN3_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: Cytoplasmic Domain
Specificity: Specific for CLCN3.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from the cytoplasmic domain of rat Chloride channel protein 3 (CLCN3) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Post Translational Modifications N-glycosylated.
Function Isoform 1: Strongly outwardly rectifying, electrogenic H(+)/Cl(-)exchanger which mediates the exchange of chloride ions against protons. The CLC channel family contains both chloride channels and proton-coupled anion transporters that exchange chloride or another anion for protons. The presence of conserved gating glutamate residues is typical for family members that function as antiporters. Isoform 2: Strongly outwardly rectifying, electrogenic H(+)/Cl(-)exchanger which mediates the exchange of chloride ions against protons.
