Additional Info
| Background | CDw78 (also called Ba antigen, Leu21 or LO panB a) is present on some immature and some mature B-cells. The antigen appears on B-cell progenitors preceding CD10, CD19, CD22 and CD37. It is expressed on resting B-cells and reappears and persists in the cytoplasm and on the cell surface until cytoplasmic Ig appears. Its expression is greatly increased after B-cell activation in vitro. It is also found on tissue macrophages and on epithelial cells, but not on Tcells, NK-cells, monocytes, granulocytes, thymocytes or bone marrow stromal fibroblasts nor myeloid tissues. |
