ImmunogenClone M009 was generated from a proprietary antigen related to human Annexin A2 in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line.
Immunogen RegionC-Term
SpecificityThis antibody detects a 36 kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of Annexin A2 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of rat PC12 cells. The antibody has been shown to label Annexin A2 in immunocytochemical analysis of PC12 cells and immunohistochemical

Additional Info

Post Translational Modifications Phosphorylation of Tyr-24 enhances heat stress-induced translocation to the cell surface. ISGylated.
Function Calcium-regulated membrane-binding protein whose affinity for calcium is greatly enhanced by anionic phospholipids. It binds two calcium ions with high affinity. May be involved in heat-stress response. Inhibits PCSK9-enhanced LDLR degradation, probably reduces PCSK9 protein levels via a translational mechanism but also competes with LDLR for binding with PCSK9. (Microbial infection) Binds M.pneumoniae CARDS toxin, probably serves as one receptor for this pathogen. When ANXA2 is down-regulated by siRNA, less toxin binds to human cells and less vacuolization (a symptom of M.pneumoniae infection) is seen.
