Our mouse monoclonal secondary antibodies are produced from a single hybridoma clone raised against immunoglobulin from a target species, giving each antibody a defined, reproducible epitope. How it works

Hybridoma-Based Production in a Mouse Host

Our mouse monoclonal secondary antibodies are generated by immunising mice with purified immunoglobulin from a target species, then fusing antibody-producing B cells from the mouse with myeloma cells to form a hybridoma. The resulting hybridoma is cultured to produce a secondary antibody that recognises a single, defined epitope on the target species' immunoglobulin, most commonly on the Fc region or as a heavy and light chain (H&L) conjugate. Because each clone descends from one parent hybridoma, every mouse monoclonal secondary in the range binds the same site on the target immunoglobulin from lot to lot.

Western blotting
HRP and biotin-conjugated mouse monoclonal secondaries detect the primary antibody bound to a target protein on the membrane, with single-epitope binding supporting consistent band detection across repeat runs.
Immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry
Mouse monoclonal secondaries visualise a primary antibody bound in tissue sections or fixed cells, supporting expression and localisation studies.
Immunofluorescence and flow cytometry
Fluorophore-conjugated mouse monoclonal secondaries, including Alexa Fluor and Cy-series dyes, detect unconjugated primary antibodies bound to surface or intracellular targets.
ELISA and immunoprecipitation
Enzyme-conjugated mouse monoclonal secondaries support colorimetric or chemiluminescent detection in ELISA, and can be used to detect a primary antibody-antigen complex pulled down from a lysate.
