Horseradish peroxidase conjugates for chromogenic and chemiluminescent detection

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is conjugated directly to the secondary antibody, where it acts on a chromogenic or chemiluminescent substrate to generate the signal used to visualise a target. The enzyme turns over substrate quickly, giving a strong signal in a short exposure, which makes HRP secondaries a standard choice for western blot, ELISA and immunohistochemistry. Our range covers HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies against mouse, rabbit, human and other host species, including chain-specific and HRP-polymer formats.

Anti-Mouse HRP Secondary Antibodies

Anti-mouse HRP secondaries detect primary antibodies raised in mouse, the most common host species for monoclonal antibodies used in western blot, ELISA and immunohistochemistry. Our anti-mouse HRP conjugates are available against whole IgG (H+L), IgG2a, and against the isolated heavy or light chain, so a chain-specific secondary can be selected to avoid cross-reactivity with other antibodies present in the same blot or a co-immunoprecipitation workflow.

Anti-Rabbit, Anti-Human and Cross-Species HRP Secondary Antibodies

Anti-rabbit and anti-human HRP secondaries cover polyclonal primaries raised in rabbit and antibodies or immunoglobulins isolated from human serum. A donkey anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) conjugate detects rabbit primaries in western blot and paraffin-embedded IHC, while a goat anti-human IgG (H&L) conjugate detects human antibodies directly, for example when profiling patient serum or validating a human recombinant antibody. A chicken anti-goat IgG conjugate extends detection to goat-raised primaries, a host less often covered by standard rabbit and mouse secondary panels.

HRP-Conjugated Antibodies for Hepatitis B Research

Unlike the host-species secondaries above, these HRP conjugates bind directly to Hepatitis B viral antigens rather than to another antibody, giving a one-step readout in western blot, IHC, immunofluorescence and ELISA. HBsAg (surface antigen), HBeAg (e antigen) and HBcAg (core antigen) are the three markers most used to characterise HBV infection and replication in research samples, and each is available here as a direct HRP conjugate raised in goat.
