AP-Conjugated Secondary Antibodies
Alkaline phosphatase conjugates for chromogenic and chemiluminescent detection
Alkaline phosphatase (AP) is conjugated directly to the secondary antibody, where it acts on a chromogenic or chemiluminescent substrate to generate the signal used to visualise a target. AP substrates such as BCIP/NBT and PNPP produce a stable, non-fading precipitate, which suits assays that are read or imaged some time after development, or multi-colour immunohistochemistry alongside an HRP-based detection step. Our AP range is made up of goat polyclonal secondaries that recognise mouse and rabbit IgG heavy and light chains, affinity-purified and validated for Western blotting, with select products also validated for ELISA and IHC.
Anti-Mouse AP Secondary Antibodies
Anti-mouse AP secondaries detect primary antibodies raised in mouse, the most common host species for monoclonal primaries used in western blot, ELISA and IHC. Our range covers a whole IgG (H+L) conjugate for general western blot use, alongside a broader-application conjugate validated across ELISA, western blot and IHC where the same secondary needs to cover more than one assay format.
Anti-Rabbit AP Secondary Antibodies
Anti-rabbit AP secondaries detect polyclonal and monoclonal primaries raised in rabbit. The goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) conjugate below covers whole IgG heavy and light chains for western blot detection.

Choosing a substrate for your AP conjugate?
BCIP/NBT and PNPP are chromogenic AP substrates, producing a coloured precipitate or soluble product suited to standard western blot and ELISA workflows. Chemiluminescent AP substrates are also compatible for assays that need greater sensitivity or a shorter exposure. Each product page includes a downloadable datasheet with dilution and substrate compatibility guidance.
