Heterophilic interaction with CEACAM8 occurs in activated neutrophils. Plays a role in neutrophil adhesion to cytokine-activated endothelial cells. Plays a role as an oncogene by promoting tumor progression.positively regulates cell migration, cell adhesion to endothelial cells and cell invasion.
