Digestion And Absorption

Food is fuelling our organisms, But before it serves its purpose, we need to break it down in order to absorb and use it. This is where digestion and absorption come in play.
Digestion is the process of chemical breakdown of the food into molecules, that can be absorbed.
Absorption is the movement of nutrients, electrolytes and water from the small intestine into cells and later in the blood.
