| Background | DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB11-b2, also known as POLR2J3, belongs to the eukaryotic RPB11 RNA polymerase subunit family. POLR2J (DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit J) exist as three variants POLR2J1 (RPB11-a) , POLR2J2 (RPB11-b1) , and POLR2J3 (RPB11-b2). POLR2J3 is DNA-dependent RNA polymerases that catalyze the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Recombinant human POLR2J3 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
