Short Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-TAS1R1 is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. A dilution of 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. Tongue lysate should be prepared in G2 lysing buffer (G2 contains 1% Triton X-100 and 1% SDC).
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: Tas1r1
Gene ID: 110326
Uniprot ID: TS1R1_MOUSE
Specificity: Specific for TAS1R1.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from mouse TAS1R1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Function Putative taste receptor. TAS1R1/TAS1R3 responds to the umami taste stimulus (the taste of monosodium glutamate) and also to most of the 20 standard L-amino acids, but not to their D-enantiomers or other compounds. Sequence differences within and between species can significantly influence the selectivity and specificity of taste responses.
