Short Description: TRPV6 Blocking Peptide for STJ503415 is synthetically produced from the 700-732 sequence and is suitable for use in western blot applications.
Formulation: Liquid form at 2.5mg/ml concentration in PBS. Up to 5% DMSO can be added. Orders with >1mg can be supplied in lyophilized powder form, or in buffer of choice.
Storage Instruction: Store at-20°C for long term storage. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Immunogen Region: 700-732
Specificity: This blocking peptide is recommended for use in combination with TRPV6 antibody, STJ503415
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide taken from the region within amino acids 700-732 of TRPV6 protein. The peptide was covalently modified to acheive desired antigenicity. Modified peptide was covalently coupled to a carrier protein by heterobifunctional cross linker
Background Calcium selective cation channel probably involved in Ca2+ uptake in various tissues, including Ca2+ reabsorption in intestine. The channel is activated by low internal calcium level, probably including intracellular calcium store depletion, and the current exhibits an inward rectification. Inactivation includes both, a rapid Ca2+-dependent and a slower Ca2+-calmodulin-dependent mechanism, the latter may be regulated by phosphorylation. In vitro, is slowly inhibited by Mg2+ in a voltage-independent manner. Heteromeric assembly with TRPV5 seems to modify channel properties. TRPV5-TRPV6 heteromultimeric concatemers exhibit voltage-dependent gating.
