Target Information

BAD (BCL2 Associated Agonist of Cell Death) is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family. It promotes apoptosis by binding and inhibiting anti-apoptotic proteins like Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL. BAD activity is regulated by phosphorylation, which modulates its interaction with survival proteins. Dysregulation of BAD contributes to cancer cell survival and resistance to apoptosis-inducing therapies.
