Our premium VWF antibody pairs are provided as kits for use in the sandwich ELISA application. These highly sensitive pairs contain both a complimentary capture and detection antibody, which are specific to VWF. The VWF capture antibody can be coated onto your desired immobilised surface (e.g., a microplate or membrane), and then binds to the VWF target antigen from the sample. Following incubation, the VWF detection antibody then binds to a different epitope on the VWF antigen, allowing for signal generation when the antigen is present. VWF encodes von Willebrand factor (VWF), a glycoprotein crucial for blood clotting by mediating platelet adhesion to damaged blood vessels. Mutations lead to von Willebrand disease, a common hereditary bleeding disorder.
