| Note: | STRICTLY FOR FURTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS. |
| Short Description : | Recombinant-Active-Human SERPIND1-C-10*His protein was developed from mammalian cells and has a target region of C-10*His. For use in research applications. |
| Conjugation: | Unconjugated |
| Formulation: | Lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 5% Trehalose, 5% Mannitol. |
| Dilution Range: | Reconstitute in sterile water for a stock solution. |
| Storage Instruction: | Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for one week. Store at-20 to-80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt. |
| Endotoxin: | <0.1 EU/Mu g of the protein by the LAL method. |
| Immunoreactivity: | Measured by its ability to inhibit recombinant human Coagulation Factor II/Thrombin cleavage of a fluorogenic peptide substrate BocVPR-AMC. The IC50 value is <1.5 nM, as measured under the described conditions. |
| Gene Symbol: | SERPIND1 |
| Gene ID: | 3053 |
| Uniprot ID: | HEP2_HUMAN |
| Immunogen Region: | Gly20-Ser499 |
| Immunogen: | Homo sapiens (Human) |
| Post Translational Modifications | Phosphorylated by FAM20C in the extracellular medium. |
| Function | Thrombin inhibitor activated by the glycosaminoglycans, heparin or dermatan sulfate. In the presence of the latter, HC-II becomes the predominant thrombin inhibitor in place of antithrombin III (AT-III). Also inhibits chymotrypsin, but in a glycosaminoglycan-independent manner. Peptides at the N-terminal of HC-II have chemotactic activity for both monocytes and neutrophils. Isoform 2: Shows negligible inhibition, in vitro, of thrombin and tPA and no inhibition of factor Xa, in vitro. |
