Short Description : Recombinant-Human FBN2-N-GST protein was developed from e. coli and has a target region of N-GST. For use in research applications.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol.
Storage Instruction: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at-20 to-80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Gene Symbol: FBN2
Gene ID: 2201
Uniprot ID: FBN2_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: Thr1550-Cys1791
Immunogen: Homo sapiens (Human)
Post Translational Modifications Placensin: N-glycosylated. O-glycosylated on serine residues by POGLUT2 and POGLUT3.
Function Fibrillin-2: Fibrillins are structural components of 10-12 nm extracellular calcium-binding microfibrils, which occur either in association with elastin or in elastin-free bundles. Fibrillin-2-containing microfibrils regulate the early process of elastic fiber assembly. Regulates osteoblast maturation by controlling TGF-beta bioavailability and calibrating TGF-beta and BMP levels, respectively. Placensin: Hormone secreted by trophoblasts that promotes trophoblast invasiveness. Has glucogenic activity: is able to increase plasma glucose levels.
