Short Description: Recombinant-Human Cystatin-C/CST3-C-His protein was developed from hek293 cells and has a target region of C-His. For use in research applications.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.22 Mu m filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Storage Instruction: Store at-20°C for up to 1 year from the date of receipt, and avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Immunoreactivity: Measured by its ability to inhibit papain cleavage of a fluorogenic peptide substrate Z-FR-AMC. The IC50 value is
Gene Symbol: CST3
Gene ID: 1471
Uniprot ID: CYTC_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: Met1-Ala146
Immunogen: Recombinant Human Cystatin-C/CST3 Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Met1-Ala146) of human Cystatin C/CST3 (Accession #NP_000090.1) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Post Translational Modifications The Thr-25 variant is O-glycosylated with a core 1 or possibly core 8 glycan. The signal peptide of the O-glycosylated Thr-25 variant is cleaved between Ala-20 and Val-21.
Function As an inhibitor of cysteine proteinases, this protein is thought to serve an important physiological role as a local regulator of this enzyme activity.
