Host: Mammalian Cells
Note: STRICTLY FOR FURTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS.
Short Description : Recombinant-Active-Human B2M/Beta-2-microglobulin-C-His protein was developed from mammalian cells and has a target region of C-His. For use in research applications.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 5% Trehalose, 5% Mannitol.
Dilution Range: Reconstitute in sterile water for a stock solution.
Storage Instruction: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for one week. Store at-20 to-80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Endotoxin: <0.1 EU/Mu g of the protein by the LAL method.
Gene Symbol: B2M
Gene ID: 567
Uniprot ID: B2MG_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: Ile21-Met119
Immunogen: Homo sapiens (Human)
Function Component of the class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC). Involved in the presentation of peptide antigens to the immune system. Exogenously applied M.tuberculosis EsxA or EsxA-EsxB (or EsxA expressed in host) binds B2M and decreases its export to the cell surface (total protein levels do not change), probably leading to defects in class I antigen presentation.
