| Background | Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGF Beta 1) is a cytokine present in regulatory T-cells, immature dendritic cells, megakaryocytes, and platelets, with a functional involvement in regulating T-cells. TGF Beta 1 is overexpressed in thyroid cancer and cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Poor prognosis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma is associated with TGF Beta 1. |
