Gene Symbol:Taar7a
Gene ID:215856
Uniprot ID:TAA7A_MOUSE
Immunogen:A synthetic peptide from mouse TAAR7a, b, e, f conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous with rat TAAR7a, b, c, e, g, h.
Specificity:Specific for TAAR7.
Function Olfactory receptor specific for N,N-dimethylalkylamines trace amines. Trace amine compounds are enriched in animal body fluids and act on trace amine-associated receptors (TAARs) to elicit both intraspecific and interspecific innate behaviors. Ligand-binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via G(s)-class of G alpha proteins (GNAL or GNAS).
