Short Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-CLCN7 (250-300 aa) is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. A dilution of 1:300 to 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: CLCN7
Gene ID: 1186
Uniprot ID: CLCN7_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: 250-300 aa
Specificity: Specific for CLCN7.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from aa region 250-300 of human CLCN7 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.
Function Slowly voltage-gated channel mediating the exchange of chloride ions against protons. Functions as antiporter and contributes to the acidification of the lysosome lumen and may be involved in maintaining lysosomal pH. The CLC channel family contains both chloride channels and proton-coupled anion transporters that exchange chloride or another anion for protons. The presence of conserved gating glutamate residues is typical for family members that function as antiporters.
