Additional Info
| Function | Cytokine that plays a critical role in modulating tissue responses during inflammation. Plays an essential role in the regeneration of epithelial cells to maintain barrier function after injury and for the prevention of further tissue damage. Unlike most of the cytokines, has no effect on immune cells. Signals through a heterodimeric receptor composed of two subunits, the specific receptor IL22RA1 which is present on non-immune cells in many organs and the shared subunit IL10RB. Ligation of IL22RA1 with IL22 induces activation of the tyrosine kinases JAK1 and TYK2, which in turn activates STAT3. In turn, promotes cell survival and proliferation through STAT3, ERK1/2 and PI3K/AKT pathways. Promotes phosphorylation of GSK3B at 'Ser-9' and CTTN. Promotes epithelial cell spreading. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Human IL-22 (IL-22) Antibody Pair (STJAP00722)
This antibody pair detects human Interleukin-22 (IL-22), corresponding to UniProt entry Q9GZX6. Reactivity has been confirmed for human samples only.
Both antibodies are rabbit monoclonal IgGs supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/mL, formulated in 0.01M PBS at pH 7.2, and purified by affinity chromatography. The clone IDs are R06-5Q1 and R09-4O1 for the two components of the pair.
This pair is validated for use in ELISA. No other assay formats are listed in the product specifications.
Working concentrations are determined by the end user and are not defined in the supplied product data. Titration experiments are recommended to establish optimal concentrations for each antibody within the specific assay setup.
Both antibodies should be stored at 4°C for short-term use. For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C, and avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles to maintain activity.
Both antibodies in the pair were raised against a recombinant protein immunogen corresponding to human IL-22. No further detail on the immunogen region is provided in the current product specifications.
