Function G-protein coupled receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone and a mitogen. HTR4 is coupled to G(s) G alpha proteins and mediates activation of adenylate cyclase activity.
