Short Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-TAS1R3 is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. A dilution of 1:1000 to 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: Tas1r3
Gene ID: 83771
Uniprot ID: TS1R3_MOUSE
Specificity: Specific for TAS1R3.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from mouse TAS1R3 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Post Translational Modifications The Thr-60 variant is predicted to introduce a novel N-linked glycosylation site at Asn-58. The addition of even a short carbohydrate group at Asn-58 is predicted to disrupt one of the contact surfaces required for stability of a dimer. Therefore a Thr-60 variant N-glycosylated at Asn-58 is predicted to be precluded from forming homodimers or heterodimers.
Function Putative taste receptor. TAS1R1/TAS1R3 responds to the umami taste stimulus (the taste of monosodium glutamate) and also to most of the 20 standard L-amino acids, but not to their D-enantiomers or other compounds. TAS1R2/TAS1R3 recognizes diverse natural and synthetic sweeteners. TAS1R3 is essential for the recognition and response to the disaccharide trehalose. Sequence differences within and between species can significantly influence the selectivity and specificity of taste responses.
