Background Zeta HSV 2 Antibody. Zeta s mouse monoclonal antibody recognizes HSV2 (Herpes Simplex Virus II) , is a double stranded DNA viruses that cause painful vesicles or ulcers and the most common cause of genital ulcers. The HSV2 antibody reacts with HSV type 2 specific antigens and with antigens common for HSV types 1 and 2. The HSV2 antibody reacts with all the major glycoproteins present in the viral envelope and at least one core protein as determined by crossed immunoelectrophoresis. The HSV2 antibody is well-suited for detection of HSV in human cellular material obtained from superficial lesions or biopsies and for the early identification of HSV in infected tissue cultures. Zeta Corporation is a leader in recombinant monoclonal IVD antibodies for immunohistochemistry (IHC) offering 400+ tumor and tissue specific relevant products developed by a pathologist for pathologists.
