Clonality : Monoclonal
Clone ID : M221
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG1
Formulation: PBS + 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.05% NaN3 and 50% glycerol
Purification: Protein A Purified
Dilution Range: WB 1:1000
IHC 1:200
ICC 1:50
Storage Instruction: Storage at-20°C is recommended, as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to presence of 50% glycerol. Stable for at least 1 year at-20°C.
Gene Symbol: Nos3
Gene ID: 18127
Uniprot ID: NOS3_MOUSE
Immunogen Region: C-Term
Specificity: The antibody detects a 140 kDa* protein corresponding to eNOS on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human umbilical vein endothelial cells.
Immunogen: Clone (M221) was generated from a recombinant mouse eNOS protein that included amino acids residues in the C-terminal region. This sequence is conserved in human and rat eNOS, and has low homology to other NOS family members.
Immunogen Sequence: Mouse
Post Translational Modifications Phosphorylation by AMPK at Ser-1176 in the presence of Ca(2+)-calmodulin (CaM) activates activity. In absence of Ca(2+)-calmodulin, AMPK also phosphorylates Thr-494, resulting in inhibition of activity.
Function Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is implicated in vascular smooth muscle relaxation through a cGMP-mediated signal transduction pathway. NO mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis in coronary vessels and promotes blood clotting through the activation of platelets. May play a significant role in normal and abnormal limb development.
